Overview
Cat #: BLP-LR063
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-LR063) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody (#ALR-063) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody (#ALR-063), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-LR063). - Western blot analysis of human SHSY-5Y neuroblastoma cell line lysate:1. Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody (#ALR-063), (1:200).
2. Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-LR063). - Expression of Latrophilin-3 in rat hippocampus:Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections using Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody (#ALR-063), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488 antibody. A. Latrophilin-3 immunoreactivity (green) appears in neuronal outlines (left pointing arrows) and glial outlines (right pointing arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-LR063), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). H = hilus; G = granular layer.
- Expression of Latrophilin-3 in mouse cerebellum:Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections using Anti-Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Antibody (#ALR-063), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488 antibody. A. Latrophilin-3 immunoreactivity (green) appears in neuronal outlines (vertical arrows pointing at Purkinje dendrites) and glial outlines (horizontal arrows pointing at Bergmann glia). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Latrophilin-3 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-LR063), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). G = granule layer; Mol = molecular layer.
