Overview
Cat #: BLP-OR014
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
δ-Opioid Receptor/OPRD1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-OR014) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-δ-Opioid Receptor (OPRD1) (extracellular) Antibody (#AOR-014) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-δ-Opioid Receptor/OPRD1 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of a rat cortex lysate:1. Anti-δ-Opioid Receptor (OPRD1) (extracellular) Antibody (#AOR-014), (1:200).
2. Anti-δ-Opioid Receptor (OPRD1) (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with δ-Opioid Receptor/OPRD1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-OR014). - Expression of δ opioid receptor (DOR-1) in rat spinal cordImmunohistochemical staining of rat spinal cord frozen section using Anti-δ-Opioid Receptor (OPRD1) (extracellular) Antibody (#AOR-014), (1:100), followed by goat-anti-rabbit AlexaFluor-488 secondary antibody (green). Staining is present in neuronal cell bodies (white arrows). Hoechst 33342 is used as the counterstain (blue).
