Netrins are a family comprised of five members: three secreted proteins (netrins 1, 3 and 4), and two glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane proteins, netrins G1 and G21. Netrin-1 is a diffusible long-range axonal guidance cue expressed in floor plate cells of the central nervous system. It is secreted in order to direct exons to their target1-3. Axon guidance by netrin-1 is implicated in multiple developing brain regions and developing neuronal types. It also plays a role in axon branching, synaptogenesis, cell migration, cell survival, and axon regeneration4.

Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody (#ANR-121) is a highly specific antibody directed against an epitope of the rat protein. The antibody can be used in western blot analysis. It has been designed to recognize Netrin-1 from human, mouse, and rat samples.
