Overview
Cat #: BLP-QP007
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
Aquaporin 7 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-QP007) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Aquaporin 7 Antibody (#AQP-007) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Aquaporin 7 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of mouse (lanes 1 and 3) and rat (lanes 2 and 4) kidney membranes:1,2. Anti-Aquaporin 7 Antibody, (#AQP-007), (1:500).
3,4. Anti-Aquaporin 7 Antibody, preincubated with Aquaporin 7 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-QP007). - Expression of AQP7 in rat kidneyImmunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded rat kidney sections using Anti-Aquaporin 7 Antibody (#AQP-007), (1:100). A. In the minor calyx, AQP7 staining (deep red) is specific for epithelial cells of the uroepithelium B. In the cortical labyrinth, AQP7 staining is specific for renal tubules while the stronger staining is evident in the brush border (blue arrows). Hematoxilin is used as the counterstain.
