Overview
Cat #: BLP-NP014
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NP014) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody (#ANP-014) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody (#ANP-014), (1:500).
3-4. Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NP014). - Western blot analysis of rat kidney membranes (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse heart membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody (#ANP-014), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NP014). - Western blot analysis of human Jurkat T-cell leukemia cell line lysates (lanes 1 and 4), human HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cell line lysate (lanes 2 and 5) and human Colo-205 colon carcinoma cell line lysates (lanes 3 and 6):1-3. Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody (#ANP-014), (1:200).
4-6. Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NP014). - Expression of Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase in rat cerebellum.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Antibody (#ANP-014), (1:200), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase immunoreactivity (green) appears in structures surrounding Purkinje cell soma (down pointing arrows) and in cone-shaped structures at the Purkinje axon initial segment (up pointing arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Beta 1 Na+/K+ ATPase (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NP014), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
