Overview
Cat #: BLP-CC106
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
CACNB1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC106) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CACNB1 Antibody (#ACC-106) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CACNB1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain (lanes 1 and 4), mouse brain (lanes 2 and 5) and rat cortex (lane 3 and 6):1-3. Anti-CACNB1 Antibody (#ACC-106), (1:800).
4-6. Anti-CACNB1 Antibody, preincubated with CACNB1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC106). - Expression of CACNB1 (CaVβ1) in rat hippocampusImmunohistochemical staining of rat hippocampus using Anti-CACNB1 Antibody (#ACC-106). A. CaVβ1 staining (red) appears in dendrites of the stratum radiatum (arrow). B. Nuclear staining using DAPI as the counterstain (blue). C. Merge image of A and B.
