Overview
Cat #: BLP-CC008
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
CACNB3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC008) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CACNB3 Antibody (#ACC-008) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CACNB3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes:1. Anti-CACNB3 Antibody (#ACC-008), (1:200).
2. Anti-CACNB3 Antibody, preincubated with CACNB3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC008). - Expression of CACNB3 (CaVβ3) in rat hippocampusImmunohistochemical staining of rat hippocampus with Anti-CACNB3 Antibody (#ACC-008). A. CaVβ3 (red) appears in neurons (arrows). B. Staining of nerve cells with mouse anti-parvalbumin demonstrates the restriction of CaVβ3 to cell bodies. C. Merged image of panels A and B.
