Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR201
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR201) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-201) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-201), (1:500).
3-4. Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR201). - Western blot analysis of mouse lung lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and rat spleen membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-201), (1:500).
3-4. Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR201). - Western blot analysis of human Jurkat T-cell leukemia cell line lysate:1. Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-201), (1:500).
2. Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR201). - Expression of CADM1 in mouse basal forebrain.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-201), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. CADM1 immunoreactivity (green) appears in neurons (arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR201), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
- Expression of CADM1 in mouse deep cerebellar nuclei.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-201), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. CADM1 immunoreactivity (green) appears in neurons (arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with CADM1/SynCAM (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR201), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
