Overview
Cat #: BLP-NT067
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NT067) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANT-067) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain lysates (lanes 1 and 4), mouse brain lysates (lanes 2 and 5) and rat spleen membranes (lanes 3 and 6):1-3. Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANT-067), (1:200).
4-6. Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NT067). - Western blot analysis of mouse TK-1 T-cell lymphoma cell line lysate (lanes 1 and 4), mouse J774 macrophage cell line lysate (lanes 2 and 5) and mouse WEHI B-cell lymphoma cell line lysate (lanes 3 and 6):1-3. Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANT-067), (1:200).
4-6. Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NT067). - Expression of CD157 in rat deep cerebellar nuclei.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANT-067), (1:1000), followed by donkey anti-rabbit-biotin and Streptavidin-Cy3. A. BST1 immunoreactivity (red) in neuronal outlines (arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NT067), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
- Expression of CD157 in rat parietal cortex.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANT-067), (1:1000), followed by donkey anti-rabbit-biotin and Streptavidin-Cy3. A. BST1 immunoreactivity (red) in neuronal outlines (arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with CD157/BST1 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NT067), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
