Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR210
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
CD63 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR210) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-210) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-CD63 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-210), (1:500).
3-4. Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CD63 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR210). - Western blot analysis of rat spleen lysates (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse kidney membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-210), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with CD63 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR210). - Western blot analysis of mouse BV-2 cell line lysate (lane 1) and BV-2-derived purified exosomes (lane 2)50µg of cells and purified exosomes lysates were analyzed using Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-210), (1:200).
- Expression of CD63 in aged mouse (18 months) hypothalamus.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-210), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. CD63 immunoreactivity (green) appears in a subset of neurons (arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with CD63 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR210), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). 3rd V = third ventricle of the brain.
- Multiplex staining of CD63 and GFAP in aged rat hippocampus.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-CD63 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-210), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488 and Guinea Pig Anti-GFAP Antibody (#AFP-001-GP), (1:300), followed by goat anti-guinea pig-AlexaFluor-594. A. CD63 (green) appears in a variety of profiles. B. GFAP (red) is expressed in astrocytes. C. Merge of the two images demonstrates extensive expression of CD63 in astrocytes (arrows point at examples). Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
