Overview
Cat #: BLP-GR012
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
GALR2 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GR012) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-GALR2 Antibody (#AGR-012) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-GALR2 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat hippocampus (lanes 1 and 4), rat DRG (lanes 2 and 5), rat brain (lanes 3 and 6), mouse brain (lanes 7 and 9) and human prostate carcinoma LNCaP cell lysates (lanes 8 and 10):1,2,3,7,8. Anti-GALR2 Antibody (#AGR-012), (1:200).
4,5,6,9,10. Anti-GALR2 Antibody, preincubated with GALR2 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GR012). - Expression of Galanin receptor 2 in rat DRGImmunohistochemical staining of rat dorsal root ganglia (DRG) frozen sections using Anti-GALR2 Antibody (#AGR-012), (1:100). GALR2 is expressed in the DRG neurons. Hoechst 33342 is used as the counterstain.
