Positive control for Western blot
Western blot
- Method of UseDissolve the lyophilized powder by adding 20µl double distilled water (DDW). Heat the solubilized product to 100°C for 5 minutes. Load 10µl of the solution into an SDS-PAGE lane alongside the experimental samples. Run the gel and perform Western blot with an Anti-GDNF antibody as per your usual protocol. For example, our own Anti-GDNF Antibody (ANT-014).
- Expected ResultSingle band detected at 15 kD.
- Western blot analysis using GDNF Positive ControlLanes 1 and 2: 10µl (corresponding to 50ng) per lane of GDNF Positive Control for Western Blot (#PCP-G240), was run in a SDS-PAGE and detected in a Western blot using Anti-GDNF Antibody (#ANT-014), (1:200).
Application key:
CBE- Cell-based ELISA, FC- Flow cytometry, ICC- Immunocytochemistry, IE- Indirect ELISA, IF- Immunofluorescence, IFC- Indirect flow cytometry, IHC- Immunohistochemistry, IP- Immunoprecipitation, LCI- Live cell imaging, N- Neutralization, WB- Western blot
Lyophilized Powder
GDNF Positive Control for Western Blot (#PCP-G240), is a recombinant, highly purified GDNF protein in a ready-to-use single reagent format. This makes it a good positive reagent control by loading it alongside the experimental lysates or samples in SDS-PAGE. This product enables to check whether the primary and secondary antibodies are working as expected and also visualize a useful reference of the expected molecular weight of the target protein.
