Overview
Cat #: BLP-PC057
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
HCN3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC057) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-HCN3 Antibody (#APC-057) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-HCN3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of HCN3 in rat brain lysate:1. Anti-HCN3 Antibody (#APC-057), (1:200).
2. Anti-HCN3 Antibody, preincubated with HCN3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC057). - Expression of HCN3 in rat dorsal root ganglia (DRG)Immunohistochemical staining of frozen section of rat DRG using Anti-HCN3 Antibody (#APC-057), (1:50) followed by mouse anti-rabbit Alexa Fluor 555 (red). Staining is present in neuronal cell bodies. Hoechst 33342 (blue) is used as counterstain.
