Overview
Cat #: BLP-CC116
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
IP3 Receptor-2/ITPR2 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC116) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-IP3 Receptor-2 (ITPR2) Antibody (#ACC-116) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-IP3 Receptor-2/ITPR2 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membrane (lanes 1 and 3) and rat basophilic leukemia (RBL) cell line lysate (lanes 2 and 4):1,2. Anti-IP3 Receptor-2 (ITPR2) Antibody (#ACC-116), (1:200).
3,4. Anti-IP3 Receptor-2 (ITPR2) Antibody, preincubated with IP3 Receptor-2/ITPR2 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC116). - Expression of IP3R2 in rat spinal cordImmunohistochemical staining of IP3R2 in rat spinal cord sections using Anti-IP3 Receptor-2 (ITPR2) Antibody (#ACC-116). A. IP3R2 immunoreactivity (red) appears in neuronal soma (horizontal arrows) and processes (vertical arrows). B. Nuclear staining using DAPI as the counterstain (blue). C. Merged image of A and B.
