Overview
Cat #: BLP-PC054
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
KCNE2/MiRP1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC054) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-KCNE2 (MiRP1) Antibody (#APC-054) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-KCNE2/MiRP1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat heart membranes:1. Anti-KCNE2 (MiRP1) Antibody (#APC-054), (1:200).
2. Anti-KCNE2 (MiRP1) Antibody, preincubated with KCNE2/MiRP1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC054). - Expression of KCNE2 in mouse heartImmunohistochemical staining of mouse heart frozen sections using Anti-KCNE2 (MiRP1) Antibody (#APC-054), (red). Immunoreactivity appears as a striated pattern in heart muscle.
