Overview
Cat #: BLP-PC051
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
KCNQ3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC051) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-KCNQ3 Antibody (#APC-051) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-KCNQ3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes:1. Anti-KCNQ3 Antibody (#APC-051), (1:200).
2. Anti-KCNQ3 Antibody, preincubated with KCNQ3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC051). - Expression of KCNQ3 in rat hippocampusImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-KCNQ3 Antibody (#APC-051), (1:200), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. KCNQ3 immunoreactivity (green) appears in cells of the pyramidal layer (P, vertical arrows) and cells of the stratum radiatum (SR, horizontal arrows). Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
