Overview
Cat #: BLP-PC116
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
Kv12.3/KCNH4 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC116) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-KV12.3 (KCNH4) Antibody (#APC-116) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Kv12.3/KCNH4 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain (lanes 1 and 3) and cerebellum (lanes 2 and 4) lysates:1,2. Anti-KV12.3 (KCNH4) Antibody (#APC-116), (1:200).
3,4. Anti-KV12.3 (KCNH4) Antibody, preincubated with Kv12.3/KCNH4 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC116). - Expression of KV12.3 (Elk3) in rat testesImmunohistochemical staining of rat testes paraffin embedded section using Anti-KV12.3 (KCNH4) Antibody (#APC-116), (1:100).
KV12.3 (pink staining) is expressed in the columnar epithelium of the epididymus. Hematoxilin is used as the counterstain.
