Overview
Cat #: BLP-PC017
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
Kv4.3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC017) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-KV4.3 Antibody (#APC-017) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Kv4.3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes:1. Anti-KV4.3 Antibody (#APC-017), (1:200).
2. Anti-KV4.3 Antibody, preincubated with Kv4.3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PC017). - Expression of KV4.3 in rat hippocampal CA1 regionImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections using Anti-KV4.3 Antibody (#APC-017), (1:400), followed by donkey anti-rabbit-Cy3 antibody (red). Staining appears in neurons of the CA1 hippocampal region (arrow). Nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
- Mouse colon lysate (1:100) (Amberg, G.C. et al. (2002) J. Physiol. 544.2, 403.).
