Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR121
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
Netrin-1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR121) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody (#ANR-121) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Netrin-1 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of mouse brain lysates (lanes 1 and 3) and rat brain lysates (lanes 2 and 4):1, 2. Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody (#ANR-121), (1:200).
3, 4. Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody, preincubated with Netrin-1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR121). - Western blot analysis of human U-87 MG glioblastoma cell line lysates (lanes 1 and 3) and human PANC-1 pancreas ductal adenocarcinoma cell line lysates (lanes 2 and 4):1, 2. Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody (#ANR-121), (1:200).
3, 4. Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody, preincubated with Netrin-1 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR121). - Expression of Netrin-1 in mouse hippocampus.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody (#ANR-121), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. Netrin-1 immunoreactivity (green) appears in cells (horizontal arrows) in the hilus (H) in the hippocampal dentate gyrus. B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Netrin-1 Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR121), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). G= granule layer, H = Hilus.
- Expression of Netrin-1 in mouse cerebellum.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-Netrin-1 Antibody (#ANR-121), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. Netrin-1 immunoreactivity (green) appears in Purkinje cell soma (horizontal arrows) and in Purkinje dendrites (vertical arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Netrin-1 Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR121), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). G= granule layer, P = Purkinje layer, M = molecular layer
