Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR036
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR036) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-036) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membrane (lanes 1 and 4), mouse brain membrane (lanes 2 and 5) and rat PC12 pheochromocytoma cells (lanes 3 and 6):1-3. Anti-Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-036), (1:400).
4-6. Anti-Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR036). - Expression of NLGN2 in rat DRGImmunohistochemical staining of adult rat dorsal root ganglion (DRG) using Anti-Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-036) followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-594 secondary antibody. A. NLGN2 labeling (red) appears in the cell bodies of the DRG neurons. B. Nuclear staining using DAPI as the counter stain (blue). C. Merged image of A and B.
- Expression of NLGN2 in rat brainImmunnohistochemical staining of rat reticular thalamic nucleus using Anti-Neuroligin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-036). A. NLGN2 staining (red) is detected in neuronal outlines (arrow). B. Nucleus staining using DAPI as the counterstain. C. Merged images of A and B.
