Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR024
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
NPY4R Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR024) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-NPY4R Antibody (#ANR-024) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-NPY4R primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membrane (lanes 1 and 4), cortex (lanes 2 and 5), and hippocampus (lanes 3 and 6) lysates:1,2,3. Anti-NPY4R Antibody (#ANR-024), (1:200).
4,5,6. Anti-NPY4R Antibody, preincubated with NPY4R Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR024). - Rat retinal sections (1:200) (Martins, J. et al. (2015) ASN. Neuro. 7, 4.).
