Overview
Cat #: BLP-PZ013
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
Shank3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PZ013) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Shank3 Antibody (#APZ-013) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Shank3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse (lanes 2 and 4) brain synaptosomal fractions:1,2. Anti-Shank3 Antibody (#APZ-013), (1:500).
3,4. Anti-Shank3 Antibody, preincubated with Shank3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-PZ013). - Expression of Shank3 in rat and mouse parietal cortexImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat and mouse brain sections using Anti-Shank3 Antibody (#APZ-013), (1:400), followed by anti-rabbit-Cy3 antibody (red). Shank3 staining of both rat (A) and mouse (B) brain sections, appears in neuron processes (horizontal arrows). Nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
