Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR188
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (##BLP-NR188) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-188) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain lysate (lanes 2 and 4):
1-2. Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-188), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR188). - Western blot analysis of mouse BV-2 microglia cell line lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse P815 mastocytoma cell line lysate (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-188), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR188). - Western blot analysis of human K562 chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and human THP-1 monocytic leukemia cell line lysate (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-188), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR188). - Expression of Tetraspanin 2 (TSPAN2) in rat spinal cord.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat spinal cord sections with Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-188), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. TSPAN2 immunoreactivity (green), appears in cells of layers I and II (vertical arrows) and in cells of deeper layers (horizontal arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR188), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
- Expression of Tetraspanin 2 (TSPAN2) in mouse cerebellum.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-188), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. TSPAN2 immunoreactivity (green), appears in cells of the purkinje layer (horizontal arrows) and in cells of the molecular layer (vertical arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Tetraspanin 2 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR188), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). G = granule layer, M = molecular layer
