Overview
Cat #: BLP-NR187
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized Powder
Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-NR187) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-187) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain membranes (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain membranes (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-187), (1:500). 3-4. Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR187).
- Western blot analysis of human Jurkat T-cell leukemia cell line lysate (lanes 1 and 3) and human HepG2 hepatocellular carcinoma cell line lysate (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-187), (1:400). 3-4. Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR187).
- Expression of Tetraspanin 7 in the rat substantia nigra region.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat brain sections with Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-187), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. Tetraspanin 7 immunoreactivity (green) appears in neuronal profiles (arrows) in both pars reticulata (SNR) and pars compacta (SNC). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR187), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
- Expression of Tetraspanin 7 in the mouse hippocampus.Immunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen mouse brain sections with Anti-Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Antibody (#ANR-187), (1:300), followed by goat anti-rabbit-AlexaFluor-488. A. Staining in the mouse hippocampal CA1 region shows Tetraspanin 7 immunoreactivity (green) in neuronal profiles in the pyramidal (P) and stratum radiatum (SR, horizontal arrows) layers. Glial profiles appeared mainly in the stratum radiatum layer (vertical arrows). B. Pre-incubation of the antibody with Tetraspanin 7 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (BLP-NR187), suppressed staining. Cell nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue). P = pyramidal layer, SO = stratum oriens, SR = stratum radiatum.
