Overview
Cat #: BLP-CC119
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
TRPC4 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC119) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-TRPC4 (extracellular) Antibody (#ACC-119) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-TRPC4 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain lysates (lanes 1 and 3) and mouse brain lysates (lanes 2 and 4):1-2. Anti-TRPC4 (extracellular) Antibody (#ACC-119), (1:200).
3-4. Anti-TRPC4 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with TRPC4 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC119). - Expression of TRPC4 in rat brainImmunohistochemical staining of rat third ventricle region using Anti-TRPC4 (extracellular) Antibody (#ACC-119). A. TRPC4 staining (red) is detected along the wall of the third ventricle (horizontal arrow) and astrocytic fibers extending from the wall (vertical arrow). B. Nucleus staining using DAPI as the counterstain (blue). C. Merge images of A and B.
