Overview
Cat #: BLP-CC124
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
TRPV4 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC124) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-TRPV4 (extracellular) Antibody (#ACC-124) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-TRPV4 (extracellular) primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of rat brain lysate:1. Anti-TRPV4 (extracellular) Antibody (#ACC-124), (1:200).
2. Anti-TRPV4 (extracellular) Antibody, preincubated with TRPV4 (extracellular) Blocking Peptide (#BLP-CC124). - Expression of TRPV4 in rat DRGImmunohistochemical staining of rat dorsal root ganglion (DRG) frozen sections using Anti-TRPV4 (extracellular) Antibody (# ACC-124). A. TRPV4 labeling appears in neuronal cell bodies. B. Nuclear staining using DAPI as counter stain. C. merged images of A and B.
