Overview
Cat #: BLP-GC037
Type: Synthetic peptide
Form: Lyophilized powder
VGLUT3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GC037) is the original antigen used for immunization during Anti-VGLUT3 Antibody (#AGC-037) generation. The blocking peptide binds and ‘blocks’ Anti-VGLUT3 primary antibody, this makes it a good negative reagent control to help confirm antibody specificity in western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. This control is also often called a pre-adsorption control.
Applications: wb, ihc
Application key:
WB- Western blot, IHC- Immunohistochemistry
For research purposes only. not for human use
Applications
Demonstration of Pre-adsorption control
- Western blot analysis of mouse (lanes 1 and 3) and rat (lanes 2 and 4) brain membranes:1,2. Anti-VGLUT3 Antibody (#AGC-037), (1:500).
3,4. Anti-VGLUT3 Antibody, preincubated with VGLUT3 Blocking Peptide (#BLP-GC037). - Expression of VGLUT3 in rat and mouse brainImmunohistochemical staining of perfusion-fixed frozen rat and mouse brain sections using Anti-VGLUT3 Antibody (#AGC-037), (1:400), followed by anti-rabbit-Cy3 antibody (red). Nuclei were labeled with DAPI and appear in blue. A. VGLUT3 staining in rat piriform cortex appears as grains along layer 2 (arrows). B. VGLUT3 staining in mouse hippocampal CA3 region appeared in the pyramidal cell body (P and arrows).
